Wardrobe Essentials: A Watch

What are the classic items that you can add to your wardrobe that will never go out of style?  What are timeless pieces that add style and class after fashion fades?  That’s right…it’s time to talk about another essential piece you should add to your wardrobe.  A watch.

It used to be essential to wear a watch to keep track of time but cell phones are used for that, now.  Watches serve mostly as decoration.  You can buy inexpensive watches in a variety of colors to change with your outfits.  Boyfriend watches and wrap watches are very trendy right now.  The only bad thing about inexpensive watches is that when the battery dies, it’s usually cheaper to buy a new watch than to have a new watch battery installed!

I found some watches you might not be able to resist!  Just click on the picture for more details and make it a fabulous Monday!

Fabulous Friday-Valentine’s Day Fashion

Valentine’s Day will soon be upon us.  I spoke to one woman who said she doesn’t celebrate Valentine’s Day because she thinks it’s too commercialized.  While I do agree that florists and Hallmark make a fortune pushing this day, I also think it’s a wonderful idea to have a day of celebration.  Don’t feel bad if you don’t have a loved one to celebrate with.  Celebrate the blessing of friendship with a friend or celebrate with your mother, father, sister, brother, cousin, etc.  Focus on celebrating the blessings in your life and refuse to let this be a day to feel sorry for yourself!  You are unique and amazing and couldn’t we all use more celebrations and happiness in our lives?!

Here are some fun fashion finds that would be perfect for a night out on Valentine’s Day.  Click on the picture if you want more info!  J’adore!

Trend Alert-Emerald

“Lively. Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.”-Pantone website

One of the biggest colors you’ll notice this season is emerald.  If you love green, you’re in luck!  From designer lines to department stores, emerald is the new color trend.  Emerald was voted as the 2013 color of the year by Pantone.  This rich green color looks great with denim, navy blue,  brown, beige, ivory, black and violet.  If you don’t like the look of emerald with your skin tone, wear it as a skirt or pants.  You can also do emerald accessories.  I found some fun and inexpensive emerald items you might want to add to your wardrobe.  If you fall in love with one of these, click on the picture for more details.  Here’s to finding your lucky emerald!

Wardrobe Essentials: Sunhat

*It’s the one year anniversary for this blog!  A BIG THANK YOU to all who follow, read and comment!  I appreciate you and hope you know how FABULOUS you are!

What are the classic items that you can add to your wardrobe that will never go out of style?  What are timeless pieces that add style and class after fashion fades?  That’s right…it’s time to talk about another essential piece you should add to your wardrobe.  The sunhat.

My thoughts are all on spring right now!  I’m quite ready for winter to be over and to welcome warmer weather!  (Say that three times fast!)  In honor of spring, let’s think about sunhats!  I think we tend to go overboard with the idea of not getting out in the sun.  You should always be careful about being in the sun but it’s actually good for you to catch some rays.  Part of being safe in the sun is wearing a fab sunhat.  Let me know which hat is your favorite!  Here are some fun hats for you to consider.  If you like one, just click on the picture for more details!

Fabulous Friday-What Do You Think?

To heel or not to heel-that is the question.

To heel or not to heel-that is the question.

Thandie Newton was recently quoted as saying about heels, “The thing about blisters is that, if you get a blister it’s good, the skin in that area is going to toughen up, so it actually means your feet have been wounded and healed to wear those specific shoes.”

“High heels are pleasure with pain”. -Christian Louboutin
“Sometimes, you have to sacrifice your performance for high heels.” -Gwen Stefani
So, how do you feel?  Do you adore high heels or avoid them?  Is there such a thing as too high?  I LOVE high heels but can’t tolerate a heel more than 3 inches.  Even 3 inches can sometimes do me in!  I know many women that wear 5 and 6 inch heels but always end up taking them off during the evening.  If I wear a heel, I make sure I can tolerate it for the entire evening.  I try to make sure to have plenty of sitting time, also!  Here are some fun heels you can look over while you think on this subject.  I’d love to hear from you!
