Houndstooth is going to be big this fall and winter season. I just sold a small houndstooth bag and think I should have kept it! You’ll want to add a vibrant, trendy color to the houndstooth to give it a modern edge. Cobalt blue, oxblood and fuchsia will be big colors this season. Here are some fun houndstooth items you might consider picking up now.
Pair this cute top with a bold color skirt or jeans. If you’d like to be low key with color, add some heels in a fun color. Purchase here.

I was recently introduced to Poshmark and have fallen head over heels for this app! Poshmark is basically an online clothing market. You can download it as an app on your Iphone, Ipad or Ipod Touch or you can just use it online.
Basically, you can buy AND sell fashion items through this site in “closets.” I recommend it over Ebay because there is NO cost to list your items you want to sell! The downside is that Poshmark takes 20% of your profit as payment. That’s a high percentage but it saves you money in the long run by not paying for items that don’t sell. If you pay Ebay 50 cents each to list 10 items, you would pay $5.00-even if none of them sell. With Poshmark, you can list as many items as you want and only pay when your item sells. Also, there’s no time limit, so you can leave your items up for sale as long as you want.
It’s incredibly easy to buy and sell items. To sell an item, the app walks you through everything step by step. You can have an item listed with pictures in a matter of minutes. To buy an item, you just click on the “buy” button, enter your credit card and shipping information and you’re done. You get an email confirming your order, an email when your order ships out and an email when the order arrives! The person selling the item doesn’t receive the money until you receive your item. When you get your item, you should unpack it and check it ASAP because you have to go into the app and click on a button saying you received your item. When you click on this button, the seller receives their money. All sales are final sale but some sellers will let you return items if they don’t fit. I bought a pair of shoes and the process was incredibly smooth. I received the shoes very quickly. There are lots of great fashion finds for amazing prices!
When you sell an item through Poshmark, they email you a pre-paid, pre-addressed shipping label for US Postal Service. You box up your item, put the shippping label on it, drop it off at the post office and you’re done!
You can take a peak at my closet here. If you’d like to create your own closet, use code HDINW to receive a $5 credit! This offer is limited to the first 10 people to sign up, though!
Hope you enjoy this app! Let me know if you create your own closet-I’d love to look at it!

For those of us in the USA, we’ll be celebrating Independence Day on July 4th. This is a big holiday for us, which means I actually get a day off from work! My family has a tradition where every July 4th, we go to see a classical concert in the local park. We spread out a giant picnic on the lawn and listen to patriotic songs. When it gets dark, they set off fireworks to the music. It’s always a fun time with lots of yummy food!
If you’re in a patriotic mood or if you just like the colors red, white and blue, here are some of my favorite picks for you to enjoy! Click on the picture for more details. Let me know your favorite thing about where you live!

Black and white are the most basic color combo but no matter how many years go by, they will always remain a fashion staple. Right now, black and white are the current big trend in the fashion world. I love the combo because you can always toss in a splash of any color with your jewelry, shoes or purse. I also think black and white has a very classic look-like a good denim jacket. Here are some of my favorite black and white picks. I hope you enjoy them and I hope you remember how fabulous you are! Let me know which one is your favorite!

Florals are nothing new to the fashion scene. However, now that the weather’s getting warmer, it puts me in the mood to wear more floral prints. Now more than ever, you can find some incredibly cute items in beautiful floral prints. There was a time when the only floral print items you could find looked like something from Little House on the Prairie. Even if you don’t consider yourself a “girly girl,” I encourage you to try out floral prints to balance out an edgy outfit. Here are my favorite items in floral prints right now. Do you like any of these or do you absolutely hate floral prints?

I LOVE the holidays! For those of us that celebrate it, Thanksgiving is fast approaching. Actually, it’s approaching a little too fast. I’m having my entire family over to my house…which is still full of boxes! Thankfully, God invented closets where we can hide things so our home looks fabulous and no one knows our secret. Unless they happen to open a closet door. I have some great deals for you today but first, I have a quick and easy recipe you can use for Thanksgiving or any occasion! Hope you enjoy it and the deals I found for you today! Make it a magnificent day!
Two Ingredient Pumpkin Cake
Recipe makes 1 – 9×13 inch cake
- 1 package spice cake mix
- 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Generously grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the spice cake mix and canned pumpkin until well blended. Spread evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool and serve, or store in the refrigerator. This tastes even better the next day.
- I heard you might want to add a little water to this as the cake can be very dense.
Now for today’s deals!

I came across this cute website one day by accident. They sell designer handbags and accessories at a discounted price. These items are advertised as being brand new from designer outlets, store overstocks and clearance lines. The items are guaranteed to be authentic BUT keep in mind that you always take a risk when you buy from anyone that’s not the actual designer. The discounted prices can be offered since they’re an online retailer and since the items are from past seasons. I haven’t bought anything from them but I am seriously considering it.
They carry a broad range of designers from Burberry to Versace. They occasionally post discounts here. Here are some examples of items and prices from their website. Click on the picture for more details. Do your research before you buy…but if you do, let me know!
