Trend Alert: Bow Front Tops

Bow front tops are a current big trend.  I’m sure you’ve seen some in the stores while shopping.  I love the feminine and vintage look of the bow front blouse.  I purchased a leopard print bow front blouse that is so much fun to wear!  This type of blouse is very versatile and can be worn with so many items you already have in your closet.

You can wear it to work with a blazer and skirt or slacks/trousers.  For an evening out, wear it with skinny jeans, heels and layered bracelets or pearls.  For an edgy look, wear it with leather or vinyl leggings and ankle boots.  The possibilities are endless!

Here are some inexpensive but fabulous tops you can add to your wardrobe if you like this look.  Enjoy!

Wardrobe Essentials: Gloves

What are the classic items that you can add to your wardrobe that will never go out of style?  What are timeless pieces that add style and class after fashion fades?  That’s right…it’s time to talk about another essential piece you should add to your wardrobe.  Gloves.

I know when you hear gloves most of you think of the winter variety.  There’s a lot more to gloves than just keeping your hands warm in the winter, though!  For example, I think Angelina Jolie looks SO dramatic and classy in the movie The Tourist!  Think about adding some to your wardrobe for that old Hollywood glamour!

Here are some fun gloves for you to consider adding to your wardrobe!  Be dramatic today!

Fabulous Friday!

Has anyone tried out Popsugar Must Have Bags, yet?  The first bags for July should have been received by now but I can’t find a post from anyone to find out what was in the bag!

Apparently, there are hundreds of subscription services out there and a LOT of women are signed up for them!  Popsugar is yet another subscription service that offers products to you on a monthly basis.  You can pay $35 for one month, $95 for three months, $190 for six months or $380 for a year.  You’re guaranteed to receive a bag each month filled with “a variety of full-sized products worth over $150.”

Guesses on what might be in the bag range from books to tote bags to clothing to food!  Apparently, there is a limited quantity of bags available and after those bags are taken, you can no longer sign up.  If you end up not liking the service, your first bag is free.  The July bags sold out.

Let me know what’s in your bag if you get one!  Make it a fantastic weekend, you fantastic people!

Get This Look: Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham-AKA Posh Spice (for those old enough to remember)-got her Spice Girl name for good reason.  The lady knows how to put an outfit together.  She even has her own clothing line due to her passion for fashion.  I’ll tell you what drives me nuts, though.  She’s married to the gorgeous David Beckham, she always wears great clothes, she owns countless pairs of Christian Louboutin shoes AND she’s über successful…but what do you want to bet that despite every reason she has to be happy, she’s completely unhappy.  It just drives me crazy and goes to show you can’t buy happiness-you choose it.  Of course, I hope she’s really happy but that just doesn’t seem to be the trend with celebrities.

This outfit is a duplicate of Victoria’s.  It’s SO easy to wear and perfect to keep you cool in the summer heat!  As always, I have some fabulous suggestions on how you can look this good for a fraction of the price!  Don’t forget to CHOOSE to be happy today!

A Word About the Shootings in Colorado

I read a blog post recently by someone who was actually at the movie theater when the shootings happened in Colorado.  This is a terrible tragedy and I wish peace and comfort for the families of everyone that either survived the attack, was wounded or killed.  It makes me very sad to live in a time where things like this are becoming more common!  I went to the funeral of a friend yesterday who died unexpectedly.  I’m so glad that I saw her recently and gave her a big hug-not realizing it would be the last time!  Please take the time to tell at least one person today how much you love them!  I love all of my blog followers and think you’re fabulous!

A new trend that has popped up with designers this year is the bold sea print.  It’s an extension of the nautical trend.  I absolutely love it because I’m a beach girl!  How can you not like something that makes you think of the beach every time you look at it!

Many of you know the name Nelson Mandela-former president of South Africa and Nobel Peace Prize winner.  He just recently celebrated his 94th birthday!  (What an amazing life!)  To his long list of accomplishments, you can now add fashion designer!  Am I the only one who didn’t see this coming???

That’s right-Nelson Mandela has a new clothing line called 466/64.  A percentage of the sales of the clothing will go to communities in Africa.  You can purchase the clothing online or wait for it to come out in stores next year.  Here are a couple of examples of clothing from the new line.
